I loved animals all my life.  My first encounter with them was on my grandparents' farm which had an array of small and medium size animals - from pigs, goats, dogs, cats and rabbits to chickens, ducks and turkeys.

Later in life I took up volunteering in zoos and animal parks around the world.  I worked with many species of animals in a variety of sizes: tigers, lions, elephants, orangutans, camels, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, tapirs, deer, porcupines, capybaras, reptiles, birds, insects and many more.
